The Institute of Dalit Studies and Research (IDSR) is an academic organization which is composed of teachers, faculty, scholars and students who are interested on Dalit, Tribal and Marginal Study. It is a purely academic, non-profit and apolitical organization. Its aim is to create interest and consciousness in various disciplines, especially Dalit, Tribe and Marginal studies, among the faculties, scholars and students. The IDSR has felt the importance of starting an institution for newcomer aspirants or academicians and scholars to make them more aware of the interdisciplinary section of education regarding Dalit studies, research work and other academic activities. Therefore, ISDR invites you all to join the organization and participate actively in its all-upcoming activities.

To create consciousness among people who are highly enthusiastic about research, workshops, seminars, webinars, symposiums, extensions, project activity largely in the interdisciplinary field, specially focused on Study and Research on Dalit and the marginal communities.
Advancement in Professional Skill:
For the betterment of professional skills in Dalit, Tribe and Marginal study and research, it provides academic advice and information among the faculty, scholars and students.
Support on Research Work:
To support scholars and faculty in doing research work, especially those who are interested in doing research work on Dalit and Tribes or those scholars and faculty who belong to the Dalit and weaker communities.

This institution will also improve the publication capability of the researcher and faculty. The IDSR provides publication opportunities such as journals, edited books, book chapters and book reviews etc. for publication.
